A specialist in Western and East Asian book history and a bibliographer, Devin Fitzgerald is the Curator of Global Book History and the History of Printing at the University of California, Los Angeles. Devin was a 2015 Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in Critical Bibliography, and was the President of the Society from 2024-2025. They completed his Ph.D. in History and East Asian Languages at Harvard University in 2020, and have published on both early modern European and East Asian print cultures. They are currently the co-lead (with Dr. Stephanie Porras) on "Prints across the Pacific, 1565-1815," a Getty Connecting Art Histories Project to be held from 2026–28. They are a regular instructor at California Rare Books School as well as the Library Juice Academy.
