Austrian rare booksellers at BUCH WIEN - one of Europe's largest literary events
Vienna, one of the grand cities in the world celebrating literature, art and its rich history - a visit to the capital of Austria is a highlight for every book and art lover and collector. Buch Wien, Vienna's festival for literature and the printed word of all genres, was cancelled as many events in 2020, but has come to life again.
The members of the Association of Antiquarian Booksellers of Austria are delighted to be participating at the 2021 edition of Buch Wien. A total of 16 members of the association will present their treasures; from incunabula to contemporary literature, autographs, maps and prints, photographs and curiosities at a joint stand rare book stand.
After a long period of dealing online and only seeing and meeting customers and colleagues virtually, the Austrian booksellers are immensely looking forward to participating in this large in-person event.
Buch Wien is one of the key literary festivals in Europe and invites each year rare booksellers at a joint stand to display their stock.
A wonderful article was published in August this year in the Austrian magazine "Gesund & Leben" about the rare booksellers based near Vienna, in Baden, the Antiquariat Kainbacher, internationally renowned expert in travel literature.
