A new venue for the Stuttgart Fair 2026 & the Catalogue is now published

The Stuttgart Antiquarian Book Fair will return in January 2026 with a refreshed concept and a new home at the Liederhalle in the heart of Stuttgart. The fair is entering a new chapter, offering a bright, modern setting well suited for one of Germany’s most important events in the antiquarian book calendar.

To mark the upcoming edition, the 2026 catalogue has now been released, showcasing the wide range of rare books, manuscripts, prints, and bibliophilic treasures that exhibitors will present in 2026.

More than 70 antiquarian booksellers from 11 countries (including the USA, UK, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland), will present a broad and high-quality spectrum of rare material.

The new venue: The Liederhalle Culture and Congress Centre, located in the heart of Stuttgart next to the Maritim Hotel, not only offers a central and easily accessible location but also a representative, barrier-free setting. The Liederhalle is described as an “inspiring place where history and modernity merge.”

Programme and Themes:
Valuable objects: Alongside rare books and incunabula, the focus will be on magnificent manuscripts, early and modern prints, notable manuscripts and autographs, vintage photography, masterpieces of book design, iconic book objects, artists’ books, fine art, and particularly rare first editions.

Supporting programme: The fair offers a varied and exciting programm with exhibitions, lectures, and presentations, also addressing paper ephemera and topics related to book design.

Young Collectors Zone, Design & Book Aesthetics: A new area will invite the next generation of collectors to connect, learn, and share their bibliophile passion with one another.

Women & Books: Topics such as book design, illustration, and the role of women in book culture will be a focal point of the 2026 fair.

Guided tours: Guided tours of the antiquarian book fair will also be offered (duration approx. 15–30 minutes, max. 15 people). The meeting point is the cafeteria in the Schiller Foyer.

Kicking off the ILAB calendar of international rare book fairs, the Stuttgart Antiquarian Book Fair will be a key annual gathering for collectors, libraries, and the international antiquarian book trade.
