Books printed before 1501 are called "incunabula" which means books from the cradle days of printing. Moveable type was perhaps the most important invention in the West until the emergence of the personal computer. These early printed books are both artistically and culturally significant artifacts that helped usher in the transition between the Europe of late Middle Ages and the Renaissance. David Wertheimer will share his passion for antiquarian books as he explores the significance of early printed books from the 15th Century.
