Summary
This list presents varied evidence for East–West cultural relations from the late 18th to 20th centuries. The focus is largely on Russian connections to Europe and America during that period, in reading, language learning, and listening to music. But I have also included a handful of recent acquisitions which I hope may prove interesting: folk-songs collected in Siberia in 1900; provincial song books from around the time of the 1905 Revolution; and a top-secret dictionary of criminal slang from 1927.
