This catalogue presents letters and handwritten documents from the collection of Alexander Baron Dées de Sterio (1908-1992). For more than 30 years Baron Dées has been a member of the committee of the so called “Lindauer Tagungen”, where Nobel Prize Winners meet with young scientists and scholars. Baron Dées wrote articles and books about the Nobel Prize and its winners. His rich collection contains autographs by Antoine César Becquerel, Niels Bohr, Max Born, Elias Canetti, Albert Einstein, André Gide and Otto Hahn. It highlights the background and the history of this most important prize worldwide.
